In the 1970's a motorist saw a figure of a girl standing by the side of the road, she was wearing a dark coat and had long flowing hair; he decided to stop and give her a lift to wherever she wanted to go to, he pulled up, opened the passengers door and the girl just vanished into thin air. This was not an isolated incident 3 weeks before another motorist noted exactly the same thing in the same spot. A lady walking back from hospital also saw a girl standing at the side of the road, she walked to wards her and was about to acknowledge her, when the girl disappeared into thin air. No one knows who this girl is but she is believed to the young novice from the hall up the road, she had made her way to the nunnery after a failed romance, she was in fits of depression, she never reached the nunnery, no one knew what happened to her, whether she was abducted, murdered or even committed suicide around that area, nobody knows, but her ghost still wanders around this road til this day.
