Floors Castle - Kelso, Scotland

Floors Castle absolutely took my breath away when I first saw it, its a magnificant building
one of my favourites on my tour so far.
Floors Castle is said to be one of the largest inhabited castles in Scotland. We diverted off our itinerary schedule to pay it a visit. It is a massive building with the Duke and Duchess of Roxburghe still in residence.

They share this pile with a few ghosts apparently, the house is allegedly haunted by Margaret Hay, 1st Duchess of Roxburghe she is said to have disappeared in mysterious circumstances. Also, ghostly sobbing has been heard coming for the long gallery and someone saw a ghost in the late 1950's there. The main entrance that you can see is said to be frequented by a spectral gardener, a tactile chap by all accounts but no one has seen him.

We found someone's camera laying on a park bench, if it is yours, contact the main office, but you will have to give an accurate description of it. The manager was so glad we were honest and handed it in, they offered us a free look around the castle, but we declined as we had already been in.
