Name: Remains of Baconsthorpe Castle
Locality: Baconsthorpe, Norfolk, NR25 6PS
Built: 1460-1486
Owner: English Heritage
Grade I
Website: EH
Baconsthorpe Castle is a right little gem of a place, tucked away nicely in the Norfolk countryside. Not a place you could fall over easily though, as the sign was obscured by foliage. The only known paranormal activity at the castle has been what I found on the paranormal database. Lovely place, we had a picnic beside the lake. When I say it's really quiet, it's really really quiet!

Further Comments: The former soldier who still patrols the battlements is blamed for the stones that are occasionally thrown into the moat, breaking the normally still waters.
